Why I Use Flux for Product Photos
Product photos are hard. You need good light. You need clean background. You need a camera and time.
Flux changes this. It is an AI image tool. You type a prompt. It makes a photo.
I use Flux a lot for product images. In my experience, it makes very clean shots. The results look real. Sometimes better than my phone camera.
In this post I share my top Flux prompts. These are prompts I use myself. You can copy them and change small parts.
What Makes a Good Flux Prompt
Before the prompts, one small tip. Flux likes clear words. Do not write short prompts like "a bottle". This gives boring result.
Instead you must say more. Say the product. Say the light. Say the background. Say the angle.
I found that this simple formula works good:
- Product name and details
- Background type
- Lighting style
- Camera angle
When you follow this, Flux gives much better photos. Now let me show real prompts.
Prompt 1: Clean White Background
This is the classic shop photo. Good for Amazon or your online store.
> Professional product photo of a white ceramic coffee mug on pure white background, soft studio lighting, no shadows, centered, high detail, sharp focus, commercial photography
I use this one most. The white background is clean. It looks like real studio. You can change "coffee mug" to any product.
Prompt 2: Product on Marble
Marble looks premium. It works for beauty and skincare products.
> A luxury glass perfume bottle on white marble surface, soft natural light from window, minimal style, shallow depth of field, elegant, high end product photography
The marble adds nice feel. In my experience, this prompt sells expensive look. Good for cosmetics and jewelry too.
Prompt 3: Outdoor Lifestyle Shot
Sometimes you want product in real life. Not just plain background.
> A sports water bottle on a wooden bench in a park, morning sunlight, blurred green background, lifestyle product photo, natural colors, realistic
This one feels alive. The blurred background makes product pop. Lifestyle photos help people imagine using the product.
Prompt 4: Dark and Moody Style
Dark photos look strong. Good for tech, watches, and drinks.
> A black smart watch on dark stone surface, dramatic side lighting, deep shadows, moody atmosphere, reflections, premium tech product photography
I like this for expensive items. The shadows make it look serious. Change the product and it still works.
Prompt 5: Flat Lay From Top
Flat lay means photo from above. Very popular on social media.
> Flat lay photo of skincare products arranged neatly on pastel pink background, top down view, soft even lighting, clean and organized, minimal, bright
This is nice for many small items. It shows a full set. Good for Instagram posts.
Prompt 6: Product With Water Splash
Splash makes photo exciting. Works for drinks and fresh products.
> A can of soda with water splash around it, frozen motion, bright studio light, blue background, dynamic, high speed photography, crisp details
The splash catches eyes. In my experience, motion photos get more clicks. But this prompt is harder. You may need few tries.
Small Tips I Learned
Flux is good but not perfect. Here are things I learned.
First, run the prompt many times. Each time gives different photo. Pick the best one.
Second, be careful with text. Flux is not great at logos and words on product. Keep products simple if you can.
Third, add words like "high detail" and "sharp focus". These make photos more clear.
Fourth, do not ask too many things in one prompt. Keep it focused. Too many details confuse the AI.
How I Fix Bad Results
Sometimes the photo comes out wrong. Do not give up. This happen to me too.
If light is bad, change the light words. Try "soft light" or "bright studio light".
If the product shape is wrong, add more detail. Say the exact shape and color.
If background is messy, add "clean background" or "minimal". This help a lot.
Small changes make big difference. I test many versions before I find the good one.
Final Words
Flux saves me time and money. No camera. No studio. Just words.
Start with the prompts above. Change the product name. Change the background. Play and learn.
Every product is different. What works for a mug may not work for a phone. So test and adjust.
I still learn new things every week. Try these prompts today. You will get better fast.
