Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

We know privacy policies are usually long and boring. We tried to write ours in a way that is easy to understand. Here is what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. Who we are

We are Comsilo, an AI prompt library available at comsilo.com. If you have any questions about your privacy, you can reach us at hello@comsilo.com.

2. What data we collect

We only collect what we actually need. Here is what that looks like:

If you just browse the site (no account)

  • We do not collect any personal information
  • Google Analytics may track your visit anonymously (pages viewed, time on site, general location like country)
  • Your IP address may be logged briefly by our server for security reasons

If you create an account

  • Your name and email address
  • A hashed (encrypted) version of your password — we cannot see your actual password
  • The date you joined
  • Whether you signed up with email or Google

If you submit a prompt

  • The prompt content you submit
  • Your account info (so we know who submitted it)

3. Why we collect it

We use your data for these reasons only:

  • To let you log in and use your account
  • To send you a verification email when you sign up
  • To show your submitted prompts in the library
  • To understand how people use the site so we can improve it (via Google Analytics)
  • To contact you if there is something important about your account

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to spam you.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Comsilo. This tells us things like which pages are popular, where visitors come from (country level only), and what devices people use.

Google Analytics uses cookies for this. The data is anonymous — we cannot identify individual users from it. If you prefer not to be tracked, you can use a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • next-auth.session-token — keeps you logged in. Without this cookie you would have to log in every time you visit.
  • Google Analytics cookies — for anonymous usage tracking

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

6. Google login

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password. We store this information in our database so you can use your account.

Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

7. Where your data is stored

Your account data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS in the United States. We use secure connections (SSL) to protect data in transit.

The website is hosted on Vercel, also based in the United States.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you want us to delete your account and all your data, email us at hello@comsilo.com and we will do it within 30 days.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask what data we have about you
  • Ask us to correct your data if it is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Stop using the site at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@comsilo.com.

10. Children

Comsilo is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has created an account on our site, please let us know and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make important changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For major changes, we may also notify registered users by email.
