Why I Started Using Flux for Products
I sell things online. Product photos are very important. But hiring photographer is expensive. Buying a camera and lights is also expensive.
So I tried Flux. It is an AI image tool. It makes very clean and real images. In my experience, it is one of the best for product shots.
In this post I share prompts I use. They are simple. You can copy them and change the product name.
What Makes a Good Product Prompt
Before I show prompts, let me share what I learn.
Good product prompt has few parts. You need the product. You need the background. You need the light. You need the mood.
When I miss one part, image looks bad. When I add all parts, image looks like real photo.
Here is simple formula I follow:
Product + surface + background + light + camera style

Prompt for Bottles and Drinks
Bottles are easy to sell with good photo. I use this prompt a lot.
> A glass bottle of orange juice on a wooden table, soft morning light from the side, blurred green background, water drops on the glass, shot with 50mm lens, sharp focus, professional product photo.
The water drops trick is very helpful tip. It makes drink look fresh and cold. You can change orange juice to any drink.
For dark drinks like coffee or cola, I add "warm light" instead of morning light. It gives cozy feeling.
Prompt for Skincare and Cosmetics
Skincare needs clean and soft look. People want to feel it is pure.
> A white cream jar on a marble surface, minimal clean background, soft diffused light, small green leaf next to the jar, pastel color tones, high detail, luxury cosmetic photography.
I found that marble and leaf make product look expensive. The soft light hides hard shadows. Hard shadows look cheap.
If your product is in a tube, just change "jar" to "tube". Flux understands both.
Prompt for Shoes and Fashion Items
Shoes need to show shape and texture. I use strong angle for this.
> A white leather sneaker floating on a light gray background, studio light, soft shadow under the shoe, clean minimal style, sharp focus on texture, commercial product shot.
The word "floating" is a nice trick. It makes shoe look modern. Many big brands use this style.
You can add color words too. Like "red running shoe" or "brown leather boot". Flux follows the color well.
Prompt for Food Products
Food is hard. It must look tasty. But not fake.
> A stack of chocolate cookies on a rustic plate, warm natural light, blurred kitchen background, crumbs on the table, close up shot, mouth watering food photography.
The crumbs detail makes it real. Perfect food looks fake. Small mess looks true.
I always add "warm light" for food. Cold light makes food look old.
Prompt for Electronics and Gadgets
Gadgets need clean and sharp look. Show the tech feeling.
> A black wireless headphone on a dark reflective surface, blue rim light, dark gradient background, sharp focus, modern tech product photography, high contrast.
Rim light is my favorite for gadgets. It is light behind the product. It draws a glowing edge. It looks premium.
Dark backgrounds work best here. But test light background too. Sometimes it surprise you.
Small Tips I Learned
Here are things that helped me a lot.
- Always name the surface. Like wood, marble, or glass. It changes the whole photo.
- Add camera words like "50mm lens" or "close up". It makes image look like real photo.
- Keep background simple. Busy background steals attention from product.
Also, do not put too many words. Long prompt can confuse Flux. I keep mine short and clear.
How I Fix Bad Results
Sometimes first image is bad. This is normal. I do not give up.
I change one thing at a time. Maybe I change the light. Maybe I change background color. Then I generate again.
Small changes teach you a lot. After many tries, you learn what words work.
